Epic Battle Fantasy 3 Strategy
10/28/11 by iamthechamp987654321
Earlier reviewed EBF 3 with Akron strategy only to discover it is only effective on easier difficulties. Here is a revised strategy for harder difficulties:
Equips: (fully epgraded) Matt: Avenger (will be the only equip to change throughout the battle, since Cleaver is based on element), Officer Coat, and Mage Hat. Natalie: Dream Catcher, Green Dress, and Red Ribbon or Pope Hat (your choice of a HP or MP boost, respectively). Lance: Shadow Blaster, Ninja Cloak, and Officer Hat. If you notice, everyone has resistance to Death: This is crucial if you want to make any progress. Having to revive people, heal them, then buff them (so they don't die again next round) is very time consuming, and your not getting anywhere with two fighters.
Strategy: Max EVERYTHING except equips you wont use. Make sure everyone has max limit break. Turn 1: Matt should switch his sword (if Akron is holy, do not use the Soul Eater; use another dark attributed swored. You will die with the Soul Eater equiped. I promise you), Natalie should use regen, and Lance (assuming Akron is not Earth) should use Tera Drill. If you gave the skill to Matt, use it next turn. Turn 2: Dispel (after Tera Drill) and begin hacking. Turn 3: If your impatient, go ahead and use the limit breaks in this order: Kyun, Ion Cannon, Cleaver. If you are patient, wait to do this until he summons his worms. The rest is up to you. As before, do not heal low level poison, unless in doing so you also heal doom or stun. Try to line Ion up with Kyun, since the power boost can kill all of Akron's helpers. Have Natalie heal and buff, while Matt and Lance buff, debuff, and hack away. Unless through Ion, do not kill pairs. What I mean is, do not kill a worm's head and tail or both runes. I say this because he will resummon them shortly after. Kill one, then get the other near death. After he resummons, kill the weakened one, and it will be gone for a while, making one less enemy for you to defend against. Barrier is crucial: once your MD boost goes down to about 30%, rebuff it. Regen is also crucial, as it saves you from having to heal every turn. Follow these rules, and you should be fine.
